The Tall Ferns were encouraged by their narrow loss to China in a friendly game before the Good Luck Beijing tournament. It was one of their best international performances in four years.
Jillian was a "warrior" in her international debut. She played 22 minutes and grabbed the team-high seven rebounds. Clare contributed five points, two assists and three steals.
